How Reed’s Refuge Center handles information from website inquiries, donations and shop orders. Last updated October 9, 2026.
When you submit the Contact or Get Involved form, we receive your name, email address, inquiry topic or interest area, message and the consent you provide. You may also choose to share a phone number, organization or skills and experience. We use this information to respond, discuss programs or ways to help, and keep a record of the inquiry. Submitting an inquiry does not by itself enroll a child in a program or approve a volunteer role. Please share only what the team needs to understand your request.
Our website inquiry forms ask families to use an adult’s contact details. Please do not include a child’s medical records, school records or other sensitive personal information in an initial message. If more information is needed for participation, ask the team how it should be provided. A parent or guardian who believes a child’s personal information has been submitted can contact us using the details below.
Online donation payments are processed through Stripe. Payment details entered into Stripe’s payment fields are handled by Stripe under its Privacy Policy. Reed’s Refuge uses donor and transaction information, such as your name, email address, donation amount, payment status and transaction reference, to administer gifts, issue receipts and respond to donation questions. Recurring gifts also involve information needed to manage the recurring payment. The website shop uses WooCommerce. When you place an order, we receive the contact, billing and shipping details you enter, the products ordered, order totals and payment status to process the order and respond to questions. Shop payments are processed through PayPal; information needed to process and support the payment is shared with PayPal under its Privacy Statement. Do not send card numbers or bank account details through our Contact or Get Involved forms.
This website uses WordPress and Fluent Forms to display pages and receive inquiries, and WooCommerce to operate the shop. The hosting provider and site tools may process technical information, such as IP address, browser information and server logs, for operation, security and troubleshooting. Cookies or similar storage may be used for essential functions, including keeping items in your shopping cart, account sessions and payment security. Website and payment providers may process information as part of delivering those services. Embedded videos, podcast players and links to YouTube, Facebook, Google Maps and other external services have their own privacy practices; review their policies when using them.
Inquiry, donation and shop order records support responses, ongoing relationships, order fulfillment, accounting and organizational recordkeeping. Some records may need to be retained for legal or accounting obligations. You can ask about information you previously supplied, request a correction, or ask for its deletion by contacting us below. We will review the request and explain any records that need to be retained. Please do not include sensitive documents in an initial privacy request.
