Reed’s Refuge’s media programs introduce Wilmington youth to the work behind a photograph, a recording or a video. The center’s published services describe specific production skills, from writing a video treatment to editing recorded sound.
Photography and video production
The center’s media instruction has included setting up photoshoot backdrops and lighting, using DSLR cameras and lenses, and editing photographs. Its video services have described treatment writing, filming, post-production editing, color correction and basic animation. These are different stages of the same process: deciding what to communicate, capturing the material and preparing it for an audience. They provide concrete context for the Multimedia program on the Programs page. Equipment and session availability should be checked directly with the team.
Recording, audio engineering and podcasting
Audio engineering is also part of the center’s documented work, including recording vocals and using mixing tools. A DelawareBlack profile published August 4, 2026 describes Industry Level Studios and students’ access to music production, podcasting, broadcasting and media. It connects the studio’s development with founder Fred Reed’s experience in music. Together, these accounts show how recording and production sit within Reed’s Refuge’s approach to arts education.

Explore the work and ask about sessions
The News & Media page brings together the center’s video channel, press coverage and photographs. It is a starting point for families and partners who want to see the organization’s work beyond a program description. To ask about current music, photography, video or podcast sessions, contact Reed’s Refuge. Educators and production professionals can also ask about sharing a skill or supporting a program through Get Involved.
